The United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama entered a judgment against P&C for violating the FDCPA. P&C was attempting to collect a debt allegedly owed by a recently deceased man. As part of their collection efforts, they called his mourning mother and implied that she could lose her home if she didn't pay her deceased son's debt.
